Hey, you can't rush stuff like this! As with most things artistic and having to do with the music business, the CD has taken longer than any of us expected. But it was more important that it be done to everyone's approval than done fast - and I think you will all be very pleased with the result.
We don't have an exact release date yet, but the master and artwork are completed. We just have to press and confirm European distribution to determine an actual date - this spring for sure though! So stay tuned.

What is a Farvahar?
The Farvahar is an ancient Zoroastrian symbol of the human spirit or "guardian soul" that translates to "forward pulling force". Every part of the Farvahar has meaning and is related to the idea that we all have the capacity for good and evil and that we should always be struggling toward the good and against the evil.
The main outstretched wings have three layers of feathers which correlate to "good thoughts", "good words", and "good deeds" that help raise our soul and make life better. The tail feathers at the bottom of the image are also in three layers and correspond to the "bad thoughts", "bad words", and "bad deeds" that weigh our soul down and make life harder. The large circle in the middle represents the eternity of the universe and the soul, and the ring in the Farvahar's hand represents a promise that cannot be broken. The other hand points upward to remind us in which direction we should be moving.
We have chosen the Farvahar as a symbol of our record label because it is a part of Datis' Persian heritage and it reminds us to always be honest and faithful in our dealings with others and to strive toward good decisions and actions that improve our lives and the lives of those we are connected to.
What kind of music or bands are you looking for?

It pisses us off that we can't take on all the absolutely amazing bands that we meet. But we are a small label and do not have the resources of a big label - or, at this time, even a medium label. What we will do for anyone we sign is everything we can to help you make the CD you want to make and get it into the hands and ears of those who will like it too.
